Poverty AlleviaTion – a pilot project of The Moropreneur Inc and Islamic Relief
Worldwide- Philippines with funding support from Islamic Relief Worldwide-
Australia. ANGAT DAPAT is implemented in five (5) municipalities in the province
of Maguindanao.

In every municipality, there are two (2) barangays chosen based on
the provided criteria of selection such as high poverty incidence, climate resiliency,
cyclical armed conflict affectedness, LGU’s participation, and vulnerability to
environmental disaster like flood and drought. Through series of capacity building,
organizing and behavioural activities, the project resulted to the establishment of ten
(10) cooperatives registered in the Cooperative Development Authority in ARMM.
Using locally available raw materials such as corn, coconut, water hyacinth, pandan
and new technologies, the cooperatives have produced high-value products such as
corn coffee (tea), virgin coconut oil, soaps, fabric conditioner, apparels, handicrafts,
clothes, enhanced Moro delicacies, among others.

With a theme, “Trade, Not War: Celebrating Community Innovation,” the ANGAT
DAPAT Social Fair is a step towards the achievement of the shared vision of
empowered, caring and responsible peoples in ARMM co-creating innovative
solutions to attain su stainable peace and development.
