The Moropreneur Inc. (TMI) handed over the materials and equipment to the community partners in the municipalities of General Salipada K. Pendatun (GSKP), Paglat, and Kabuntalan in Maguindanao covered by its Support to Peace and Resilience of Communities (SPARC) Project during the Graduation and Hand Over Ceremonies on October 2, 2018, October 8, 2018, and October 11, 2018, respectively.
The graduation and hand over ceremonies were attended by Municipal LGU officials, Barangay LGU officials, IMAN, Islamic Relief Worldwide Philippines, and members of the organized People’s Organization. These women-led People’s Organizations were organized by TMI composed of 25 members, majority of which are women.
The materials and equipment were handed over to the graduates of the skills-based training on Virgin Coconut Oil Production and Chili Production from three barangay community partners in GSKP namely Brgy. Ramcor, Brgy. Midconding, and Brgy. Kaladturan.
In Paglat, the kits were distributed to the graduates of skills-based training in Brgy. Poblacion and Brgy. Damakling. Graduates of skills-based training on food processing in Brgy. Butiren, Brgy. Payan, and Brgy. Katidtuan in Kabuntalan were also provided with starter kits.
The materials will be used by the People’s Organization in each Barangay to develop products based on the enterprises established which includes fish-processed products (i.e. boneless, marinated, fish ball, etc.), Tilapia-flavored ice cream, Virgin Coconut Oil, Vinegar and Spices, and Hot Chili Garlic Sauce.
The established enterprises are continuously developed and will still undergo a series of standardization and processes such as Halal Certification, FDA, label and branding development.
