After the success of the ANGAT DAPAT Project which ran from February to October 2017, the Islamic Worldwide Philippines and The Moropreneur Inc with support from IR USA, launched last 1 October 2017 the Support to Peace and Resilience in Communities (SPARC) Project.
The SPARC Project aims to meaningfully transform capacities of communities and local government units by promoting a participatory, conflict-sensitive and gender sensitive approach to planning processes towards improved capacity in disaster risk reduction and management, economic opportunities and access to safe and clean water.
It is expected that by promoting a participatory approach to community development local capacities to advance their own initiatives will be strengthened.
Under the SPARC Project, existing or newly organized People’s Organization will build their cooperative following the social enterprise framework. A total of 8 POs and 8 BAWASA will benefit from these projects in eight (8) barangays of Kabuntalan, Paglat and GSKP in the province of Maguindanao.
